Booking Cancellation

There are many cases when the guest needs to cancel a reservation (travel restrictions, personal reasons, etc). Here is the cancellation policy for short let platforms: 

 

Airbnb Policy

The guest can cancel a reservation with a full refund up to 5 days before their arrival. 

 

Booking.com

The guest can cancel a reservation after making a booking, however,  Smarthost reserves a right to decide on the amount of the refund. 

 

VRBO

The guest can cancel a reservation with a full refund up to 5 days before their arrival. 

 

Private reservations

We ask for a deposit once the tenant signs the agreement. If the tenant decides to cancel the reservation, it's up to Smarthost whether to keep the deposit or not. It depends on the time left before the check-in, if it's far from the check-in date we usually return the deposit, if it's last-minute we have the right to keep the deposit.

 

If a guest cancels booking for personal reasons we will make considerable effort to resell those dates, however regardless of the cancellation payout they will not be added to the report. All refunds are at Smarthost’s discretion.
