Once we complete onboarding and receive the keys, we have 2 options to manage check-ins:
1. Smart Locks
Smart locks allow us to manage and customize access to properties hands-free, avoiding unnecessary complications like lost keys, difficulties opening lock boxes, or finding the correct Keynest store. Also, using smart locks results in more positive reviews and therefore more reservations, because people enjoy modern, innovative solutions.
Furthermore, guests will not be able to duplicate keys for your property, something that cannot be guaranteed with old-fashioned locks.
Keynest
Keynest is a service that allows key storage at the location closest to the property. Usually located in the closest convenient store. When the keys are added to the system, a fob is placed on the set. It is scanned every time the keys are dropped off or picked up. The guest is provided with a collection code, which allows him to collect the keys from the store.

We use Keynest as our default option because it's the most secure. The keys can be tracked all the time, so we know exactly when the guest collects them or drops them off.
2. Lockbox
A lockbox is a metal box with a keypad, which can be opened with the code. We can install the lockbox close to the property for an additional fee. We will then use the lockbox for both check-ins and check-outs.

We will use lockbox only if there are no Keynest locations nearby.
